Trying on wedding gowns can be intimidating, especially if you have opinionated guests. Very often we find that friends focus on what they like rather than what the bride likes, and often disregard the bride's budget. During your initial visit, we suggest that you bring immediate family members or a close friend. A professional stylist will help you select styles that look great on your figure, and that fits your sense of style and price range. After you have selected and purchased your gown, then invite your friends to view your choice.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes! Appointments are required to look at or try on wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses and mother of the occasion dresses. Below are 5 beautiful ways you can make an appointment here at J.J. Kelly Bridal. Please note that to hold your appointment you need to pay a non-refundable fee of $25 and leave Credit Card on file. Your card will be charged $50 if your appointment is not cancelled within 48 hours. No-shows will be charged $100.. TRUNK SHOW EVENT WEEKENDS require a non-refundable fee of $50 per appointment with a non-refundable cancellation fee of $100. (Trunk show details below) Thank you for your understanding.

The First Look Appointment

This appointment is 20 minutes in length and allows the bride along with one of our experienced stylists to have a look around the salon, and talk about the designers we carry. If we are a good fit, brides will then choose an appointment day and time to try on gowns. These appointments are Monday-Friday and are call in only 405-752-0029.

The During the Week Appointment

These appointments are made Monday- Friday 10am-6:00pm and are 1.5 - 2 hours in length. They can be made by calling 405-752-0029 or book online.

The Saturday Appointment

These appointments are 1.5 hours in length and are made at 10am,11:30am,1:00pm and 2:30pm. Please give us a call at 405-752-0029 or book online.

Accessory/ Bridesmaid Appointments

Brides who have their gown already purchased from J. J.Kelly Bridal and are looking to finish their wedding look or find the perfect bridesmaid dresses can make appointments Monday-Saturday. Brides who have purchased their gowns at another salon may bring their dress in and book an appointment Monday-Friday only.

What is a Trunk Show?

A trunk show is an opportunity for local bridal salons to introduce brides-to-be to designer gowns they otherwise might not carry in store. Usually only a few days long, and by appointment only, trunk shows offer brides a chance to order straight-off-the-runway styles that the bridal salon will then make sure are properly tailored and promptly delivered for the big day. All appointments booked on these special weekends require a non-refundable payment of $50 per appointment depending on the event. A non-refundable Cancellation/No show fee of $100 will applies in additions to the event fee. Enjoy special insentives when you purchase your gown during the show on the featured designer. Should you arrive without an appointment and one is available, the $50 fee applies. THESE SPECIAL APPOINTMENTS ARE CALL IN ONLY 405-752-0029 AND CANNOT BE MADE ON OUR ONLINE SYSTEM.

What Designers Do You Carry?

J. J. Kelly is Oklahoma’s only bridal salon that carries exclusive designers such as Galia Lahav, Caroline Castigliano, Viktor & Rolf, Monique Lhuillier, Bliss by Monique Lhuillier, Stephanie Allin, Reem Acra, Jasmine, Hayley Paige, Rosa Clara, Lucia, Lazaro, Watters, Wtoo, Willowby, and Olvi’s. All of our gowns are about the fabric, fit and fashion, which puts these designers above and beyond the rest. Our wedding gowns range in price from approximately $2,000 to $15,000. The best selection is going to be between $2,500 and $5,000. We do have select gowns on sale and one-of-a-kind wedding dresses that may meet your price range if our regular priced gowns are not in your specific price range. Keep in mind that these gowns are “as is,”are from our collection, and cannot be special ordered at the sale price.

Veils and headpieces: $150 and up

Bridesmaids dresses: $135 to $400

Mother’s gowns: $350 and up

How long does it take to order a wedding gown?

Special order designer gowns take approximately 4 to 8 months to arrive in our salon. We strongly recommend our brides to have their gowns 3 months prior to their wedding date. This will ensure that there is enough time for custom fittings and bridal portraits. Therefore, your wedding gown should be purchased 7 to 12 months prior to your wedding.

What if I need a gown in less than 4 months?

Most designers will make a gown quickly. However, they will charge a rush fee. Be advised that COVID changes everything. We also have gowns from our wedding collection that can be purchased immediately.

My friends say I should try on everything, is that a good idea?

From our experience with working with brides for over 40 years, finding the gown of your dreams is an unparalleled experience. So, when you start your search, it is okay to try on different styles but you should have a realistic idea of your price range and you should not try on gowns that do not represent who you are. This will ensure that when you purchase your wedding dress, you will be thrilled with your choice.

What if I like a gown by one of the designers that your salon carries but you do not have it in your wedding gown collection?

Many of our designers will let us borrow a gown that we may not carry in our salon, or one that may have been sold from our wedding collection. However, there is a charge for this service. Please call for details (405) 752-0029.

Do you provide alterations?

Yes, we have in-house seamstresses. However, there is an additional charge that is determined by the seamstress at the time of your custom fitting. You are not required to use our seamstresses, but we are known for our fit and innovative bustles. They are available for fittings for our brides and their wedding parties on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s by appointment only! WE DO NOT TAKE FITTINGS ON SATURDAY’S. Our seamstress needs 10 weeks to complete your alterations. We do NOT alter gowns not purchased from J. J. Kelly Bridal.

Will the dress be custom fit to my body?

No, you will select a size based on your body measurements according to the designer's standard size chart provided when you are ready to place your order on the gown you have selected. If you fall in between sizes, always order the larger size. It is easier to take a gown in rather than let it out. Alterations may be necessary after you receive your gown, and are an additional charge as mentioned above.

What is the next step after my gown arrives?

It is important after you are notified that you make an appointment within 7 days after the arrival of your gown. These appointments are made Monday-Friday ONLY-- we DO NOT allow gown try-ons on Saturday’s. If you are planning to use our seamstress, she needs 10 weeks from start to finish, so if your wedding date is close please make your try-on appointment is at the same time as your fitting appointment with our seamstress.

Do you accept returns?

Due to the personal nature of our merchandise, all wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother of the occasion dresses, flower girl dresses, headpieces, veils, shoes and accessories are non-returnable. All sales are final.

Do you offer a military discount?

J. J. Kelly Bridal appreciates the service our military, veteran, and National Guard brides do for our country to keep it safe. Show your military I.D. to receive a 10% discount on any regular priced gown. This discount cannot be paired with other promotions or discounts offered.
